Gourmet weekend to Bekkjarvik
Join us for a gourmet weekend at Bekkjarvik Guesthouse.
Located by the fjords on the archipelago Austevoll , Bekkjarvik guesthouse offers us comfortable accommodation, wine tasting, cooking class, fishing trip and cycling tour.
Together we will go for wine tasting and learn about different culinary combinations in the cooking class. Sign up is required for the fishing trip.
It is possible to go for a cycling tour on the island, and the guesthouse has both bicycles and moped cars for rent. The hike to Kongskleiva is also a popular activity.
The guesthouse is run by the Johannessen family who have offered accommodation and services for over 35 years. The area that Bekkjarvik guesthouse is located in was once at the heart of of the fishing industry on the island. The Guesthouse was established by Danish king Christian Quart in the 1600s.
How to get to Bekkjarvik
Bekkjarvik is located in Austevoll Municipality and lies south-west of Bergen. The participants must organize their own transport.
From Bergen (the drive takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes)
- Follow E39 south abd continue on Rv 580.
- Turn to Fv 546 at Fana.
- Follow the road and take the ferry from Krokeide to Hufthamar.
- Continue on Fv 546. After the brigde you will reach a roundabout, take the first exit and continue on Fv 150.
From Stavanger (the drive takes about 3 hours and 45 minutes)
- Follow E39 going north and take the ferry between Mortavika - Arsvågen.
- Follow the roas from Arsvågen to the roundabout in Aksdal.
- Take the first exit in the roundabout and follow E134.
- Exit E134 towards Bergen/Stord.
- Follow E39 and take the ferry between Husavik - Sandvikvåg.
- Continue on Fv 546. After the brigde you will reach a roundabout, take the first exit and continue on Fv 150.
