Wintershall has entered into a frame agreement with Omega. We will now provide consultant services to Wintershall’s projects in Norway.

- German oil and gas company Wintershall established its Norwegian business in 2006

The three-year frame agreement was signed in July and has an option of one year. Omega will be providing services within several disciplines, including Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Cost.
The agreement was signed only few months prior to another agreement with, where Omega will provide several Pims products to support Wintershall’s operations.
During 2013, Wintershall has increased its workforce significantly to manage the production on the Brage field, and to support the development of the Maria field, which is expected to be in production in 2017. The company also has big ambitions in terms of exploration and drilling in Norway, having been involved in some of the most important oil discoveries on the Norwegian shelf in recent years.
The German energy company has a short, but very successful, history in Norway. Having established its first office in Norway in 2006, Wintershall has become one of the largest license holders on Norwegian shelf. The company’s largest breakthrough came earlier this year when Wintershall took over as operator on Brage after Statoil.
